Runescape - Characters To Play

There are a variety of characters one can play in this game and it also depends on your membership too. There's a variety of characters if you are a paying member however, the free world has it's own charm. I have been a free worlder since I've started and I am still working on getting my statistics up on all my other non-combat skills.

The higher the statistics on a certain skill ensures better execution when using that particular skill. Say for example, fishing. When your fishing level is low, you are limited to fishing for sea-based creatures that is available for your skills level. The more you fish, the more experience you gain thus upping your skills level. With your skills level moving up, more fishing options becomes available to you.

The importance for this is the fact that certain food gives better healing properties and this type of food is only available when your fishing levels allow you to catch these creatures. Of course you can also just buy from other folks but that means you will still need to work on your fishing levels as well as earn enough gold pieces to be able to afford this type of food.

The most famous character being played in this game is that of a combatant. There are 3 combatant characters one can choose from - a knight, an archer or a mage. Each one has their own strengths and their own weaknesses. I will talk individually about these characters in my next blog.

In the meantime, start building your other skills. This game is not just about fighting, but also about strategy.
